Rich VanHorn Hike

VanHorn is a 1-mile trail that is mostly wooded. This trail has a view of the lake, and it encircles a pond. The trail consists of uneven terrain, rocks, and roots. Enclosed shoes are suggested as the trail can have muddy sections. Please wear appropriate gear for the weather. Water and a snack are recommended.

On this hike, see a variety of vegetation, evidence of wildlife, and hear a variety of bird calls. Lake view shows the beach and the Army Corps of Engineers’ dam. Very close to the lodge, there is an option to shorten to a 0.6 mile hike that still encircles the pond. This trail has red blazes, and crosses Rolling Hills (yellow blazes)

Lakeview Hike

Lakeview is an ½ mile loop just off the cabin road. See the meadow where the trail begins, views of the lake, and a clearing that has formed in the middle of the woods. This trail is relatively flat. Please wear appropriate gear for the weather, water and a snack recommended.

On this hike, see the meadow full of life, hear bird calls, and enjoy a nice walk. Close to the lodge, on the cabin road. Could be added to Ridge for a longer hike.

Adena Ridge is an out-and-back trail, ¾ mile total, that is mostly wooded. This trail has fantastic views of the lake. Enclosed shoes are suggested as the trail consists of uneven terrain, rocks, and roots. Please wear appropriate gear for the weather. Water and a snack are recommended.

Rolling Hills Hike

This is a 3-mile trail that is mostly wooded; it is a 1 ½ mile out and back hike. Rolling Hills is a well-named trail with multiple lakeside views.

The Deer Creek golf course is a gorgeous 18 -hole course.
The Campground has bicycle rentals, a disc golf course (disc rental or purchase available), and free mini golf.
